I-D-A-H-O, This is where potatoes grow.....

Let the fun begin! I came up from UT with Becky and the kids on Friday. It was fun to catch up with Becky and be with those cute kids. It's amazing how fast they all grow up. It's nice to be in Idaho with the fam. (Pic of Rachel and me at Uncle Reed's...Rachel is 10. Can't believe how grown up she is!)

Saturday was the Meservy reunion at Uncle Reed's house. That house is amazing! Aunt Mary Ann rented one of those blow-up jumping palaces for all the kids and set it up in their backyard. They LOVED it! Joshua wouldn't go in there at first, but started warming up to the idea when he thought I'd go with him. How could I deny my cute nephew? So I crawled through the 1 1/2 foot opening and pulled Joshua in after me. He wouldn't jump without me holding him and wouldn't go down the slide unless he was on my lap. After 4 times I had had my fill. He finally started going on his own. It helped that his brother, David, was there. They are such cute boys. It has been so fun to get acquainted with them again. I had never met Nathaniel before...and had met the other kids once or twice before.

I was able to break away from the jumping palace to get a little lunch. Grandma Hansen was there....the only living Meservy remaining. She looked beautiful and she is as funny as ever! After lunch they asked Grandma to tell some stories about her life. She talked about how she met Grandpa. The first time they met Grandpa took her by the hand and walked through the orchard with her. They were married 4 months later. Grandpa really knew how to sweep a gal off her feet. He wasted no time. I miss cute Grandpa. It was so fun to listen to Grandma talk about him. She is so cute and such an amazing woman! She also talked about her parents and family. I love listening to Grandma's stories. (Pic of Dad listening to Grandma) She has so much personality and such a great sense of humor. Wish I lived a little closer. I didn't take advantage of having her in UT, and now I regret not seeing her more. Love you Grandma!

After the reunion we headed over to Jared and Becky's to go swimming. Camille and Sam, Matt and Suzanne, Jared and Becky...and all of their kids-lots of little bodies to be aware of in a pool. I was impressed, though-all the kids were great little swimmers. Then it was off to the river. Roy brought his raft, so both my brothers and two of my brothers-in-law and I set off for our adventure down the Payette River. The stretch of river that we did was class 3 and class 4 rapids. We had an awesome time. We had a bit of a scare when Matt fell out of the raft backwards in the middle of a class 4 rapid. Roy and I grabbed onto his feet attempting to keep him close to the raft, while Sam tried to get him in. Matt inhaled just as he went under water....not good. Serious gasping for air. Sam and Roy pulled him in while Jared and I continued to paddle through the rapids. It took Matt several minutes to return to regular breathing. So glad that experience didn't turn bad. Thanks for the excitement, Matt. You really know how to get the adrenaline pumping. ;)

Great pics...and there's no better cheer for I-D-A-H-O. Can't wait to see the movements you've come up with for that one - they ought to be good.

Hi Sarah, it's Lori (Sorensen) I found your blog via Jenni, I hope you don't mind if I take a peek.
YOu look so great, and it looks like you are having so much fun.
I saw you mentioned that a friend of your's 'Dave' I guess is his name just moved to Hawaii. Where in Hawaii? I just moved here too, so if you come visit him you will have to see me too! We are on the big Island in Hilo. Cody (my husband) is going to the pharmacy school here.
